JOHN

The writer of John is identified as "the desciple Jesus loved," the apostle John. It was probably written sometime between A.D. 85 and A.D. 90. John centers on the teachings of Christ and their applicablility to all men. Additionally, John focuses on the humanity of Christ while never losing sight of Christ's divine nature. In the latter chapters, John provides information concerning the arrest, trial and crucifixtion of Jesus the other gospels do not contain.
Joan contains the shortes verse in the Bible. John 11:35, and the most often quoted verse, John 3:16.
